Gdynia
A city built of sea and dreams.
Gdynia is an important seaport on the South Coast of the Baltic Sea. It forms the Tricity conurbation of more than one million people along with the spa town of Sopot and the city of Gdansk.
Gdynia itself is a relatively modern city of some 250 thousand inhabitants. It has few historical buildings, however it does have two museum ships in its harbour, and is renowned for its 20th century architecture. The city also hosts one of Poland’s biggest annual contemporary music festivals - the Heineken Open’er Festival.
